Lone Star Storytellers: The What, Who, How, and Why


  • Learn, craft, and perform a five-minute spoken story at venues throughout Frisco and at the Lone Star Storytelling Festival


  • Anyone ages 9 - 18 can be selected from audition submissions


  • Attend orientation on Wednesday, July 31, at 4:00 pm or 7:00 pm with a guardian. (optional for returning tellers)
  • Complete at least seven free, one-hour coaching sessions led by professionals from the Library and Frisco community
  • Perform at one of the community concerts
  • Perform before family and friends at dress rehearsal Monday, October 14, at 6:30 pm
  • May be selected to perform at FISD Field Trip Day
  • May be selected to perform at the Lone Star Storytelling Festival Thursday - Friday, October 17 - 18


  • Develop public speaking skills
  • Build confidence
  • Gain performance experience
  • Showcase your talent for Frisco audiences
